Get a Pre-Inspection

Forty-five (45) days before the end of your lease, you need to schedule a courtesy pre-inspection of your leased Mazda. You can request a pre-inspection at any point if you plan to turn-in your Mazda early, but be aware that a pre-inspection expires after 60 days.

This pre-inspection will provide:

• A thorough evaluation of the wear and use on your vehicle so you can anticipate potential lease-end charges.

• A condition report that details any wear and use items that you may be billed for at lease-end. The condition report is not a bill and, therefore, won’t show any amounts.

Call Mazda Capital Services (MCS) Lease-End Department at 877-506-1198 to schedule a courtesy pre-inspection.

Excess Wear and Use Estimate And Other Charges

Shortly after the pre-inspection, you will receive an Excess Wear and Use estimate from Mazda Capital Services. This will provide an estimate of repairing the excess wear and use items detailed on the condition report from the pre-inspection. This information will help you decide whether to repair any of the items before returning your vehicle. The first $1,000 of Wear and Use charges from your estimate and final bill is waived, if applicable (see your lease contract for additional details and exclusions.)

If you choose to make repairs to your vehicle before you turn it in, contact MCS before returning the vehicle. The repairs will be verified and credit will be applied to your final end-of-lease bill.

Please be aware that you may be responsible for paying other charges (see your lease for details) such as:

• The disposition fee, commonly charged if you don’t purchase the vehicle.

• You may owe a charge for each mile you’ve driven that’s over the mileage allowed in your lease.

• Any outstanding charges on your account.

Current lessees qualify for the Loyalty Disposition Fee Waiver Program offer. With this program, any disposition fee you may owe under your current lease will be waived when you purchase or lease a new Mazda vehicle through Mazda Capital Services within 30 days of turning in your vehicle.

Returning Your Leased Mazda

If you decide to return your current leased Mazda at lease-end, contact Neil Huffman Mazda in advance to arrange for the vehicle return. Then call MCS Lease End Department within one business day with your vehicle return information.

When you bring in your Mazda for return, be sure to remove all your personal items, bring both sets of keys, all factory equipment and put the owner’s manual in the glove box.

At the end of your lease, federal law (and state law, if applicable) requires that you disclose the mileage on your vehicle’s odometer. When you turn in your leased Mazda or when you purchase it, you will need to complete, sign and date an Odometer Statement at Neil Huffman Mazda and send a copy to MCS.

Early Lease Return

If you return your leased Mazda early, you may owe early termination charges as outlined in your lease agreement. This may be a substantial charge depending on when you terminate during the lease term. Please contact MCS to be sure you understand the financial impact of early turn in.

Purchasing Your Leased Mazda

If you want to purchase the Mazda you’ve grown to love, contact Neil Huffman Mazda to learn more about your lease-end options and we can help you purchase your leased vehicle. You can also request a payoff quote though MCS.

Most lease agreements through MCS include an option that allows you to purchase your vehicle before or at the end of your term. Your lease also provides the purchase price and terms. You may have to pay the purchase option fee disclosed in the lease.

Extending Your Lease

Want to keep driving your leased Mazda? In certain circumstances, you can extend your current lease. Within the final 180 days of your lease, contact MCS to learn more about extending your lease and learn more about the lease-end options available to you at the end of the extension.
