MAZDA CX-50 vs Subaru Forester

The MAZDA CX-50 will be available with two engines now used widely across Mazda's lineup: the first is a 2.5-liter four-cylinder with about 187 hp. This engine has a similar output to the base 2.5-liter engine in the Subaru Forester. The second engine available is a 2.5-liter turbocharged engine, which is optional in the MAZDA CX-5 and MAZDA CX-30, but standard in the MAZDA CX-9. It has a maximum torque of 31/320 lb-ft depending on fuel. Subaru's Forester does not have a turbo option.

The MAZDA CX-50 comes standard with the latest version of the i-Active All-Wheel Drive system and the new Mazda Intelligent Drive Select. The MAZDA CX-50 will initially be offered with a choice of two 2.5 liter engines: the SkyActiv-G naturally aspirated four-cylinder with an expected 187 horsepower and 186 lb-ft of torque, or a turbocharged version that produces up to 250 hp and 320 lb-ft of twist.

The new MAZDA CX-50 will be Mazda's first vehicle with a panoramic moonroof. There are also high-strength roof rails, reinforced B-pillars, and door jambs to help secure equipment, like bikes and skis, on the roof. You can enjoy the smooth rides of the MAZDA CX-50 in the city or enjoy the off-road capabilities.  With the MAZDA CX-50, adventure is right around the corner.
